"This is for the Amtrak station at North Station. The bathrooms surpass any kind of grossness you could imagine (so I will spare you), even the sinks (and most don't work). In the waiting area the benches have pigeon poop spread all over in many places. There are no outlets to charge your phone. They do not give you advance notice as to which gate your train will arrive. The loudspeaker is garbled. When your train is delayed you won't be given an ETA."
"Amtrak Downeaster to Saco, Maine. There are cabs outside that will charge 80 dollars for a 20 dollar ride ( get a Lyft or Uber)"
"A really convenient and easy to use station allowing good access to nearby towns and cities. The staff at the station are all friendly and helpful. This was a pleasant place to travel from."
"Not the cleanest transit station I’ve ever visited, but navigating it was smooth enough. Pretty straightforward connection to Back Bay station via the T Orange Line, and the staff were very helpful navigating us to the right platform to catch the Downeaster"
"I took the Downeaster from Boston to Brunswick and my journey began at this station. It's small, with limited seating and tables as you wait for your train. It was nice to see the fare gates for security purposes, and there was security assistance walking around. I felt safe there during my 30 minutes inside. My train was on time and I had no issues in the station as I waited. Limited food choices and no restroom inside the fare gates. Good choices outside though. and it was clean. The pigeons...entertaining. The people, not so much."
