"The service was fast but I felt like I was in kindergarten with the lady in the front yelling at me because I didn't know what was the process of renewing my passport was. Obviously if I am asking for help is because I don't know how the process goes. A few of them treat you with respect, but some of them including the cashier have an attitude when rendering services."
"I normally do not leave reviews, however this consulate is unorganized and inefficient. For reference, it took two plus hours to renew a passport with only 3 people needing this service. There is only one staff member who exceeds expectations, he sits at the window processing the DUI. When I needed to get a DUI there were at least 12 people in front of me. This took 3 hours. However, he was doing an intake for new registrants while also assisting people who were coming to pick up their DUI. So for a passport process to take 2 hours for only 3 people when the intake is far less exhaustive than that of a DUI, this simply highlights faults in their operation and the lack of systems. Furthermore, having an appointment will not spare you from hours of wait. Lastly, there is no system to clearly establish order of arrival, you will have to ask the people waiting as the staff will not know."
"Horrible place really embarrassing to see how things are ran here with all the progress el pulgarcito making, they should fire who ever runs this establishment. First thing you notice as soon as you walk in is 2 windows but one worker on the dui side second you notice on passport side they have 3 or so employees just kinda hanging around, one lady literally on her phone while a crazy line on the other side. Seems like most of them have very bad attitudes and could care less about efficiency and providing a good service to our citizens. Today many of the people here had been waiting for a long time just to pick up their id. Sad that this is how our nation is being represented really looking foward to never having the need to visit this place again. Bukele where you at we need you in boston!!"
"They have improved a lot since my last time here. The staff is more courteous and are more wiling to listen to questions and provide answers from/to people looking for services, my only gripe is that even though I understand that we are under a pandemic still they should have a functional bathroom for the patrons since there are no public restrooms near by."
"Awful service. They don’t care when you tell them you drove 2.5 hours with a 2 year old child. It was at the beginning of those online appointments; so I didn’t know I had to have a an appointment made online. Obviously, the phone is never answered, so that’s why I just took the risk driving there w/o an appointment. I begged them to help me to renew my passport, I waited for 3 hours for a miracle. I have to say the front ladies ( there were two that day) tried their best. But they also said “ we are not the ones who do the work” But the consular officer had not the heart to help me. She keep saying NO. At the end they just said “it was just a bad day.” The consul the supposed to come at noon never did, a second one left and it was only one left. And she couldn’t make an exception to help me. In fact when I went next time to get my passport with an appointment, I told her about my past experience, her answer “I don’t know the reasons why you couldn’t get a passport last time” stood up and left me talking to myself, clearly she couldn’t even listen to me. Horrible service. I wouldn’t even give them a single star. Ps bring your own toilet paper, soap and paper towel. There wasn’t any - of all of them. Absolutely unacceptable, specially during pandemic times."
