As a cherished member of Boston's extensive park system, Eliot Norton Park offers a tranquil escape for both locals and tourists alike. Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces, contributing to the more than 2,300 acres of parkland throughout the city.
Managed by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Eliot Norton Park is part of a network that includes 217 city parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and much more. Whether you're looking to relax in nature, enjoy a family picnic, or simply take a leisurely stroll, our park provides the perfect setting.
Visit us this summer to enjoy free family-friendly movies in neighborhood parks or experience the vibrant sounds of the Tito Puente Latin Music Series in July and August. For those seeking outdoor adventures, our complete schedule of free events and activities offers something for all ages.
Eliot Norton Park also plays a role in the innovative Alianza traveling beer garden, a collaboration with Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, bringing unique experiences to Boston's green spaces.
We are committed to preserving Boston's urban landscape, including managing three active cemeteries and 16 historic burying grounds, as well as maintaining approximately 125,000 trees across the city. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are currently held online.

"Nice small park to take a lunch in the shade, also has a playground"
"Nice little park. My favorite thing about it is the trees with the heavy pink blooms in April/ May. I'm not sure if the little side park is officially part of Elliott Norton or not, but it's a lovely wooden Oasis. A few picnic tables amongst the trees would be a great addition. As well as recycling bins"
"Pet friendly.... human friendly and children are welcomed... small..fun ...located in the middle of the theater district this park is beautiful..."
"Liked it. Its decent downtown neighborhood park for very young kids. I believe its meant for only upto 3 or 4 yrs age group. There are only 4-5 activities in the park.. rope climber, basic rocks climber, seesaw etc. Parents can take little kids out for some fun & recreation and there are benches to just sit & relax. Just for 30-45 min outdoor fun."
