Welcome to Fenelon Street Playground, a vibrant community hub located at 20 Fenelon Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02121. As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we are dedicated to creating and maintaining clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across the city. Fenelon Street Playground is one of the 217 city parks we manage, contributing to Boston's expansive 2,300 acres of parkland.

Our commitment extends beyond just playgrounds. We oversee a diverse range of recreational spaces, including athletic fields, golf courses, squares, fountains, game courts, and historic cemeteries, all woven into the fabric of Boston’s urban landscape. With stewardship of approximately 125,000 trees, including over 35,000 street trees, we ensure that Boston remains lush and vibrant.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have transitioned our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings to an online format, ensuring the safety and convenience of our community members.

Join us this summer for a variety of free events and activities suitable for all ages. Enjoy family-favorite movies under the stars in your neighborhood parks or experience the lively Tito Puente Latin Music Series, returning to Boston parks in July and August. Additionally, discover Alianza, a unique traveling beer garden, brought to you by Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, in partnership with the City of Boston.
