Our department oversees an impressive 2,300 acres of parkland throughout Boston, including 217 city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields. We proudly manage two golf courses, 65 squares, 17 fountains, 75 game courts, and urban wilds, ensuring that the city remains a lush and inviting environment for all residents and visitors.

Jeep Jones Park is part of the historic Emerald Necklace, a 1,000-acre chain of nine parks linked by scenic parkways and waterways. Our dedication extends to the care of approximately 125,000 trees across the city, including over 35,000 street trees.
