Reviews of Torbert Macdonald Park
"It's a nice little city park. It has plenty of parking, very clean, picturesque and have lots of birds to see and even a wildlife observation tower. There's even a pier to fish and look out at boats on the mystic river. If you cross the bridge to Somerville and make a loop out of it, you'll get a good workout. Otherwise the park itself is a bit too small so only good for a casual stroll."
"Great place to walk. Family friendly, be sure to keep toddlers close by you since they can easily go into the water."
"Very nice place and you can see many animals Very lovely place But have to say be careful ❗️ Don’t leave nothing valuable in your car For 99% sure this man wants to steal something"
"Macdonald Park is a real riverside gem. It's a great mix of walking/bike paths and natural habitat so close to the city. It has been an outdoor oasis during Covid. It hosts a surprising amount of wildlife, especially birds. I've seen hawks and even bald eagles, goldfinches in summer, egrets, herons, redwing blackbirds, ducks, and geese, etc. Robins and cardinals are back now. Rabbits are everywhere in summer. I've seen otters along the Mystic river there. There are plenty of benches and a few picnic tables and open grass for humans too. A nice place to see sunsets. The tower offers a panoramic view."
"Favorite place for a night walk and spend some times by the river. There are several spots in the reservation, all have unique views in the night."
