Nestled in the heart of the city, our playground is part of Boston's extensive network of parks and recreational spaces, dedicated to creating and maintaining clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces for everyone to enjoy.

As a proud member of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Mozart Street Playground contributes to the stewardship of over 2,300 acres of parkland throughout the city. Our department oversees 217 city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields, ensuring that each space remains a welcoming environment for families, friends, and neighbors.

Join us for free family-friendly movies in neighborhood parks, or immerse yourself in the lively rhythms of the Tito Puente Latin Music Series, returning this July and August. For those seeking outdoor fun, explore our complete schedule of free events and activities available for all ages, promising a summer full of adventure and enjoyment.

In partnership with Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, we are excited to bring Alianza, a unique traveling beer garden experience, to the City of Boston. This innovative collaboration ensures that our parks remain not only places of relaxation and recreation but also vibrant community hubs.

Our commitment extends beyond recreation; we manage 16 historic and three active cemeteries, urban wilds, and a significant portion of the historic Emerald Necklace, a 1,100-acre chain of nine parks connected by parkways and waterways.

Please note, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are being held online. For tree removal requests, especially for healthy trees, a public hearing is required.
