Adams Park
About the Business
Welcome to Adams Park, your gateway to Boston's vibrant green spaces! Located at 4225 Washington Street in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, Adams Park is part of the city's extensive network of parks and recreational areas. Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across more than 2,300 acres of parkland throughout Boston.
As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we oversee 217 city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields, along with two golf courses, 65 squares, 17 fountains, 75 game courts, and 16 historic and three active cemeteries. Our commitment to preserving nature extends to managing urban wilds, four high school athletic fields, and approximately 125,000 trees, including the historic Emerald Necklace, a 1,000-acre chain of nine interconnected parks.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are held online to ensure public safety. We also offer a wide array of free events and activities for all ages. Enjoy family-favorite movies in your neighborhood parks, and don't miss the six-concert Tito Puente Latin Music Series, returning in July and August.
For those seeking unique outdoor experiences, visit Alianza, a first-of-its-kind traveling beer garden brought to you by Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation in partnership with the City of Boston.
Adams Park invites you to explore the natural beauty and community spirit of Boston's open spaces. Whether you're looking for relaxation, recreation, or cultural events, our parks are here to enrich your life and connect you with nature. Come and discover everything we have to offer!

"Farmers market on Saturdays during the summer and fall has a great selection of good looking fruits and vegetables. Small bakeries, organic juices, used books from the Friends of the Roslindale Public Library for $.99, and coffee places too. Also some live performances. Dog friendly too."
"Great space to sit and relax."
"Very small park in Roslindale – Boston - and it takes less than a minute to walk through. I have studied English Language in Boston School for modern Language which is very near to the park. I used to eat and have a nice time in it because the food is good. There are also a bunch of restaurants and cafes nearby. Farmers Market every Saturday in the good weather, about May – November."
"This is a great location for a bunch of group bike ride gatherings. I have been to two so far, one was group ride from Rozzie Bike Group of Roslindale and the other one was bike with Mayor Wu to City Hall. Both were very enjoyable and we got a chance to warm up and socialize in the Adam’s park. There is also a bunch of restaurants and bars nearby for after a group bike ride is finished."
"Very small park and it takes less than a minute to walk through. I have sat in this park and watched all the cars circling around it heading to Forest Hills Station or up to West Roxbury or up to Dedham. I sat here just scratching lottery scratch tickets before. On weekends in the summer they have a local market for drinks, food, herbs etc."
