"Wish I could give 10 stars to the Roslindale Post office. I was putting together a retirement for my boss that was due at noon. I was waiting on 3 more envelopes that my colleagues had put in the mail the week before that I anticipated were most likely in the carriers bag out for delivery. At 10:30am I called the PO and April answered the phone. I offered to meet the carrier wherever he was to grab the envelope since my afternoon mail delivery would mean I could not finish putting the gift together. April went above and beyond and found the carrier and within 30 minutes the two envelopes were dropped in my box and she called to confirm they had been received. In 93° weather, I tried to run out to give the carrier a cold Gatorade, but he was already gone before I could get there. Both April and the mail carrier went out of their way to save the day so that we could complete the gift for my boss. A+++++++"
"One of the employees was particularly unprofessional and rude. He was annoyed just because i asked a question like he expected everyone to know everything. And he always flies the receipt at me in the end."
"Very untrustworthy post office branch. They frequently mark packages/documents as delivered that haven’t been delivered yet, sometimes even for packages/documents that require signature."
"Small front area, and definitely busy, but clerks seemed helpful and efficient. Of the 6-8 post offices I've visited in this area, this is the only one where the clerks hand-canceled my non-machinable letters at the counter; I'm very thankful for this, as it helps ensure they are not damaged. Boston has a lot of terrible post offices, but this one is an exception. Kudos to the staff here."
"Easier than J.P. or Westie post offices but remember the Federal Government hired one window person to help customers from 8 to 10 a.m. and after 10 a.m. you'll have 2 window clerks to help you with your postal needs. Remember if ONE PASSPORT appointment comes in you'll be back down to one clerk to help the line. NOTE: BE PATIENT! Can't expect one person to know why your mail isn't delivered or missing etc. As a former employee the carrier to window clerk is willing to help you but don't rattle their cages. You think your job is tough? You think your office is bonkers? Try carrying for 10 to 12 hours on the streets or dealing with rude customers because you are trying to find a needle in a haystack. BE PATIENT. WAIT. The staff (window clerks) are pretty cool. And all WINDOW CLERKS LOVE CHANGE! So if you have SINGLES or COINS. FIVES AND TENS They'll LOVE YOU if you don't mind taking a $20 bill in exchange for your singles, fives etc."
