"On Wednesday morning around 10am I had the worst interaction with the male employee working there. He was degrading and rude to me for no reason. He told me my postage stamps were not real and for “Postcards” only…when in fact I bought them from the USPS and it was simply the design. He was clearly either uneducated on this topic or just decided to be rude and condescending for no reason. I had to take to another location to ship my mail I did not trust to leave in his hands."
"the employee was miserable and hostile. there were two employees, the bald one that was "helping" me was very rude, and acted VERY bothered by my questions, and gave unnecessary attitude during the entire appointment. however, when my father stepped in, his demeanor completely changed and he began to act semi-nice. my debit card wasn't working, and he complained numerous times at the fact that he had to re-enter numbers so that i could use an alternative payment method. additionally, he made me feel terrible at the fact that i forgot to bring a copy of my ID, and i apologized numerous times for the sincere mistake. at the beginning of my passport appointment, i said i wanted to expedite the process, and at the end of the appointment i asked if he believed it would come in time for my trip and he said “you should have told me this earlier so then I could have told u that same information then” (my question had no affect on anything) he said that comment very rudely, and shook his head as if i had asked/done something wrong. he made me feel stupid, and was clearly sexist and racist. however, the other guy that was working (left hand side) was very kind and helpful :)"
"Very rude, unprofessional employees. They close for 2-3 hours in the middle of the day with no notice. Often the sign will say "Lunch 12-2" but at 2:30 or 3:00, the office is still closed. I wish this location wasn't so convenient for me because the experience is almost always a bad one..."
"Burusque service. They don't mince words. The lady working there told me that my letters I sent at 2:30pm Thurs wouldn't have a chance of reaching California by Sun via regular mail. It'd be there by Tues. by the lady's calculations. They were insisting I do overnight express. For a greeting card? I opted for Priority, which was about $6-7. I've had letters arrive via regular mail in 3 days to the same location from the post office in Central Square. Update: The service has gotten more personable in the past couple years, but they remain understaffed (they had to close shop so the single person holding down the place could use the restroom)."
"On Wednesday afternoon, I was rudely accosted by a postal employee when I walked into this post office. I was shopping in the area and decided to drop off some mail and find out if I had the right postage. The minute I walked in the female employee (I learned her name was Shirley) rudely asked me if I had parked a white car in the USPO lot. I had not. I told her she was too aggressive. After handling my mail (banking and insurance items) I also left some envelops with bills (utilities with her after asking if it was alright). Just as I was about to go out the door she called me back to say that I had not written the return address on two utility bills. What business of USPO is it whether I write the return address on officially print addressed items? In all the years (60 or so) I have been dealing with USPO, no one has insisted on such intrusion. I walked back. picked up the two pieces of perfectly stamped mail and later dropped them at my local USPO where no one questioned me. I am concerned about the mail I left at the USPO in Watertown because of this person's uncalled for poor attitude: I am concerned that my mail will be trashed by her rather than sent through. If my insurance forms and financial ones do not arrive by Monday, March 27 at their destinations, I shall launch a fraud and misconduct complaint."
