"Last year in June, we used TripAdvisor to book an excursion for $650 in Hawaii. Per TripAdvisor and their policy of the hotel we canceled our reservation for the luau well within the 24 hours expiration(4days) in order to get a refund. They still charged us. We had to get our bank involved and prove that we were in the right and we got reimbursed. the day after we got reimbursed $650 TripAdvisor recharged us and we haven’t been to recuperate that money. It’s been a year now and we still haven’t seen $650 that was taken for a second time. They operate with poor business ethics, they play games and they don’t honor even their own policy."

"We visited Aruba and had a great experience with a car rental company. I wanted to share a review with other TripAdvisor users, but TripAdvisor does not allow reviews for Car Rental companies! Very odd since traveling typically includes a car rental. I wrote their customer service team requesting help, but they offered ZERO assistance, kept referring to their policy not to allow reviews for car rentals. I was able to write reviews on Google, Facebook and Twitter. TripAdvisor is becoming the dinosaur of the past, set on their own ways, very poor customer service, soon to become extinct like many companies not keeping up with customer needs. You should check out Google, Facebook, Twitter for writing reviews. I'm no longer using TripAdvisor and will rely on Google, Facebook and Twitter for my future travel reviews."

"It is important and impressive for TripAdvisor to match donations to the World Central Kitchen non-profit helping the Ukrainian people. By the way, TripAdvisor restaurant guide is the best. Don't eat anywhere that is not on the top 20. You can't imagine a food truck being #3 in Kihei, Maui, but it is actually great. Thanks."
