"don’t shop here. literally just purchased defectively packaged hair oil that spilled (like 30% of it) once I left the store. went right back in (literally 45 seconds later, I was parked outside) to exchange it and the owner and the cashier are giving me a hard time. I’ve patronized this establishment for my whole life (I live two blocks away) in Dorchester and am honestly disappointed at how racist and poorly minded the people who run this business are. update: after I stood there writing this review for ten minutes and posted it, I asked the token black girl (the one who works there but is somehow never at the register and is only there to answer black hair questions) for his name and she would not tell me. I asked the cashier (an Asian woman) for the owner’s name and she wouldn’t tell me. at this point it got confusing because why not tell me the owner’s name so I can report it to the BBB? stand on business bro. the owner himself was ignoring me and continued restocking. eventually he just gave me a new bottle and called me stupid while doing it, and I stormed out. what should have been a 30 second exchange turned into a nasty 15-18 minute argument in which I was gaslit by three employees of the store. pictured is the owner (who is still nameless but I’ll look it up) also… the bottle of oil in question was $3.99. so no scams being run here lmao. and even if it were a high ticket item, the situation was still obscenely ridiculous. attaching a photo with the oil stained receipt as well."

"Have been coming here for years. This will be my last time here as the owners do not care to loose their customers. I went with my recipt and items in same condition as I bought them and as soon as I told the gentleman at the front counter that I wanted to return the items he had an attitude and sour face. He then gave me a hard time to give me a refund and told me I should come back on Tuesday as the card on my receipt did not match with any of my cards which I have about 3 cards. He insisted that I should come back Tuesday as the cashier that rang me out would be back on that day. Moral of the story I asked him why I should be back if nothing on my receipt will change on that day. I also pointed out that he had cameras and that if he did not believe I was there on that day he can simply look at the cameras because he assumed that I was not the person who made the purchase the day prior. He told me he will not look at them. I told him that he should charge my card a dollar and he was worried about the fee the bank was going to access him instead of taking this as a learning experience for his business. I also asked him if he was the owner and he sad he was. Being the owner of a brick and mortar he made a huge fuss about a 6 dollar refund instead of being understanding and trying to actually figure out how we could have solved this issue. Instead he he gave me unreal solutions and very nasty attitude and suggested I came back to dorchester all the way from Cambridge on a different day when the only person who could have truly solved this issue was him. At the end the transaction was purchased through my Apple Pay. Him being the owner should have figured out that when people pay though the cordless option a different card number prints out on the receipt. Go to this store if you want just know that your purchase will not be appreciated only your dollar will."

"Got my Bi-gen temporary color and I'm happy that there is a selection for me. They have broad selection compared to other beauty supplies. I have to catch 2 separate forms of transportation in order to get here but it is worth it. I lucked up and got my oil that is for my hair and body so I was fortunate again twice over. Definitely be back next month. Go support kiki numerous items to get for hair and beauty."

"Do not go into this place. The owner are VERY racist. I went in today to buy something , after I decided I didn’t need it i left it in the isle. The worker an older Asian guy came up to me “where is the products” as if I was stealing it. I told him I put them back that o don’t need to steal I have a good paying job and that’s not my character. The manager another lady at the counter didn’t say anything she just watch. Don’t put your money in this place. Very racist staff."
