Reviews
"Short walk on a trail from the round about. Finding the old cellar hole was unexpected in a good way. Gunshots was a little disconcerting until we found out a firing range was nearby."
"While staying at the Haywood I found this trail that led to the landmark. Good find next to the human testing facility."
"Was out for nature hike found this pretty cool history just randomly"
"The location is a little hard to find. If you're staying at the nearby hotel there's a small footpath leading into the woods that leads to it. If you're not staying at the hotel, then you'll have to go into the back parking lot of Digital Reality Data Center. It's really easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for. I mean it's a landmark. The historical significance is great."
"Here, John Hancock and Samuel Adams found refuge from British soldiers on April 19, 1775, in Amos Wyman's house. British General Thomas Gage, commander-in-chief of the British forces in North America had issued a warrant for their arrest for treason. The house no longer exists, but the Billerica Historical Society placed a plaque on a large granite boulder here in 1898, commemorating this historic site at the heart of the American Revolution. In 2014, they replaced the plaque."
