"We are very happy with the outcome of our Black Onyx duration roof with black drip edges over original white siding. GN Exteriors was simply the most positive experience with a contractor we've ever had. Manny is an amazing and so is Alfredo. Both were incredibly friendly and informative through the whole roofing project. They really impressed with their work ethics from start to finish and I will definitely use them in the future for any roofing, gutter or siding needs. They offered the best price of the roofers we looked at and were eager to win our business. I called them after hearing good things online and Manny (owner) was out over the next day or so. He really has an eye and attention for details and a focus on things often ignored by other contractors. They even have a photo drone that can do before, during and after aerial photos of your project. Neat! We were well over due for a new roof and had lost shingles in a recent storm. Other contractors didn't take the time to explain the important considerations between roof venting and even the various shingle vendor products (landmark, corning, etc), his recommendation for choices and process start to finish. A huge takeaway was the importance of designing a proper vented roof for attic space that uses soffet intake vents to feed a ridge vented roof. A ridge vent on a roof without soffit vents won't work as intended. Most roofers trying to get your bid will confirm they will install ridge vents, but our experiance was none of them would confirm how they would design it to work, until we met Manny/GN. During the estimate another big name roofer was even mentioned in regards to just slapping on ridge vents without a proper design. It seems to be a common thing unknown to the home owners getting bids. We are now one of two houses in our entire neighborhood that has this properly designed roof ridge venting system with visible soffit intake vents on roof and dormers. Our roof had been double shingled (previous owner added another layer of shingles over the original) so this was surely a bit more work for removal and cleanup. So on to the project day, everything went well and the crew did a great job (albeit a very long day for them!) and was actively cleaning up the whole time as well. We are very pleased with the results!"
