Gosman Sports and Convocation Center

"It looked like a nice sports center. I was there for my daughters graduation. They had it laid out very nicely and it was a nice graduation. Again, I did not see a sporting event there but it looked quite nice."

"I visit this place for Zumba classes but it is a huge facility with rooms for weight training, basketball, track racing, fencing and squash courts. There is a separate area for people who want to run on their treadmills, ellipticals etc and it has spacious washrooms and reasonable shower facilities."

"Gosman needs a lot of TLC. It needs to be washed thoroughly. It needs to be painted. It needs air conditioning. It needs the walls to be re-skinned with artistic and inspirational lettering. In general, the space is worn and needs help. The hallways have all received a facelift and they are nice. The concession area is being renovated. The walk up desk and foyer bathrooms got a small improvement. Varsity weight room is looking good. The new rock wall is cool. The pool is back online. Those are all positives about the facility as a whole. It’s a big operation."

"Shuttle vans are always flying around the parking lots. They are going way over the posted 15mph and almost hit me several times. Very dangerous place to be a pedestrian!"

"I don't like the locker room area. Some of the showers work fine. Others don't have hot water. My guy friends tell me that the guys are very strange and there's no partitions between the guys and some people decide to go next to you even though there are empty showers a couple feet away. Sometimes it feels like there aren't enough treadmills and then there are squash courts but no one really uses more than 2-3."
