"Building a house or remodeling a home is  stressful, even with careful planning, and thoughtful budgeting, there will always be challenges along the way; it's inevitable. You want a strong, knowledgeable team working on, what is for many, their life long investment. Take the same scenario, and remove the planning, the budgeting, and the anticipation - think about building a house from the ground up after a natural disaster, or a fire. Imagine having to make all of those decisions without the luxury of time. Stressful isn't a strong enough word to describe the pressure that mounts when you are forced to rebuild unexpectedly. I lived through a devastating house fire, one that destroyed everything we owned, and including the home I lived in for over 20 years. Luckily, insurance paid to rebuild, but I had no idea where to start, how to plan, budget or predict how long it would take. These monumental decisions were mine alone, and I was completely overwhelmed. I am beyond grateful for the friend that introduced me to M&S Development out of Mansfield. From beginning to end, they took my burned to the ground, 2,100 sq.ft. foundation, and built a stunning, custom 3,800 sq.ft. home, all within budget, all within the agreed time frame, and all during covid lockdown. The owners of the company, Mark Parker and Steven Reardon lived up to their promises, and delivered every promise they made, but my hero? Rik Bagtaz, the project manager. Having someone explain the process, set reasonable expectations, calm my frazzled nerves (having your house burn down in October then Covid lockdown in February is not fun), made the most stressful year of my life, manageable. It was a team effort for sure, Mark Parker and Steven Reardon only hire the best, their standards are beyond the norm, and I'm grateful to M&S Development, but looking back, I just needed to say a BIG thank you to Rik - you made all the difference. Whether you plan to build or remodel, or building and remodeling is thrust upon you, you will not only be satisfied with this company, but grateful that you made the choice. "We had the wonderful team at M&S Development finish our basement and we could not be more thrilled at the work they did. With such a big project, we had Mark come out and talk us through the process and give some design tips. He coached us through it all and was very transparent. From there, his team came out and diligently got the work done and were accommodating of our asks.
