"I went to Dr. Courtney for consultation for a gum issue. She is very knowledgeable, kind, thorough and attentive. She took the time to examine each and every of my teeth. She did not push any treatment on me, instead, she gave me tips on how to how to take better care of my teeth and gum using tools and regular cleaning, and if needed, go to her to additional evaluation and treatment. "A few years ago I was referred to Dr. Courtney by my dentist for a dental implant. When I first met her I thought she looked like she was about 12 years old! How could she possibly know anything? Boy, was I wrong. After that very successful implant and now needing further periodontal work, I followed Dr. Courtney to her own practice, Mass Ave Periodontics, which she opened in the same office space where her father, also a periodontist, had a very long and successful practice. Dr. Courtney is passionate about her work and really cares about her patients. She explains everything in detail as to what she's doing and makes it easy to understand. She also makes herself available if you have any questions, issues or need any follow-up. She's personable, engaging, caring, extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. I also have bi-annual dental cleanings with her youthful hygienist, Kristina, who is thorough, cheerful, and also explains what she's doing. It's always a positive experience working with Dr. Courtney and Kristina. Dominique in the reception office is very friendly, efficient and accommodating. I've always been able to get an appointment when needed. Of course, as I get older, everyone seems young to me but I'm comforted to know that Dr. Courtney and her team will be around to take care of me presumably for the rest of my dental life. Having gum work isn't typically something to look forward to but Dr. Courtney and her staff make it as pleasurable as possible and I feel that I'm in very capable hands."
