Budget Truck Rental

"UPDATE It has been 7 years since I posted a review of the business. I have used this Budget Car Rental office numerous times over the years, and the service remains superior! Late last year, I required a short term, short fused rental which turned into a 6 month rental that carried over into the new year. During that period the manager Ms. Charlene and her staff were very accomadating and provided exceptional support as I rented on a monthly basis unsure when I would be leaving the area. I encounterd some issues with my credit card, Charlene resolved it, I encounter a flat tire, again resolved, I wanted to switch cars she accomadated my requests. I was late renewing a care, I rec'd a polite call and it was resolved. When I needed to adjust my rental agreement and required "last minute" out of state drop-off Charlene worked with me to make it happen. Overall, during a very trying time personally, the one thing I could count on was Charlene and her staff to take care of my rental needs. If your ever in the area and need to rent a car, appreciate excellent customer and want to enjoy a worry free rental, look no further than this office, you will be totally satisfied with the professionalism and caring service provided. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Surprised at the long line at such a small airport but the staff, specificallyy the young gentleman quickly processed the 3 customers in front of me. The older lady was still on the same customer the whole time I was there. So, go for the guy in the Red Sox hat. I will say it was good service but the car needed to be cleaned on the outside, the grill looked like it had been on the highway for 1,000 miles without a cleaning. Drop-off was easy at Green Airport."

"Showed up to my van rental which was pre arranged. They had me fill out the paperwork and charged my card but then said they couldn’t find the keys but it was fine because they “just had them” they proceeded to spend 45 minutes looking in the same 3 places for the keys to the single truck they had. Rather than trying to find a solution, the desk clerk acted like it wasn’t a big deal and told me that I had problems for demanding that they find an alternative solution after waiting 45 minutes to still have no truck. She said she could not call another budget location to ask if they had a truck, that her boss could but their boss was out of the office. I called budget in sandwich only to be connected to the New Bedford budget rental office where I was literally already standing. Our movers were to arrive at 10 but because of the issues with budget, we did not get to them until 11:30 since we had to find a new truck rental from a uhaul store and go get that last minute. Thank you uhaul in west Wareham for having their ducks in order unlike budget. We lost an hour an a half of mover time that we still had to pay for, will never be renting from budget for putting us out over 150 dollars without even a sincere regard for what they put us through on a moving day which is already stressful without the help of incompetent employees."

"We had booked an SUV (Chevy Tahoe) and got a Chrysler Pacifica. If you want to base a comparison on the value of the standard version: Tahoe: $54,000, Pacifica: $38,000 --> Difference -42%. This is clearly a different league of car category! Their argument was that they had a Recall on all large SUVs. If they tell you the same, then you can can be certain that this is a scamy scheme of charging for one car-category and delivering another. We are not US citizens, but maybe a local customer can raise this with some consumer rights organization."
