"These pastries are so flavorful and buttery. The price is great and it's such a small location you could easily miss it but I'm so glad we didn't. Such a hidden gem in boston!"
"Spent $14 for 2 molded berry cups. Not the best experience. This place is not tracking the quality of the food they are serving - definitely don’t recommended."
"A delightful little bakery tucked away next to the Marseille building. I tried the butter croissant, the Nutella babka, the pain aux raisins, the danish (both apricot & blueberry), and lemon madeleines. Everything was very fresh and delicious. My only suggestion is to add a tad more of the pastry cream to the pain aux raisins - while the croissant dough layers were buttery and flavorful, I am confident that an extra dollop of the pastry cream will make the inside of the bun more flavorful. Also, is it too presumptuous to suggest to pre-soak the raisins? They will be extra juicy and plump in the pain aux raisins. I didn't try the coffee or the bread but I look forward to returning to sample those. The young man behind the counter was very lovely and helpful."
"Tucked away in the office building next to Marseille, PRB Boulangerie has a small outpost here. Love the Somerville location so was eager to try. Service was friendly and cafe au lait was very good, but the croissant was dense and bready inside instead of flaky. Perhaps they’re still ironing out some kinks on the bakery side. Aside from baked goods, the rest of the menu includes panini sandwiches (weekday only) and a very limited selection of two types of breakfast croissant on the weekends. Sitting area is very nice and would be a good spot for a work/networking coffee during the week. They also sell an assortment of French pantry goods like chips, jams, and even bubble bath."
"Fantastic croissants and baked goods, tasty sandwiches and salads and coffee. The South End needs a place like this, especially since Cafe Madeleine closed. This cafe fills the void, and then some. We have Tatte's, but I find while their baked goods look amazing, they only taste average. PRB Boulangerie delivers both beautiful and delicious treats. Possibly the best almond croissant I've ever had."
