"Excellent mountain views… brook is pleasing to look at. Not as intense as a Summit hike (which is offered at the initial Trailhead but Money Brook offers a very easy alternative with still peaceful and picturesque nature viewing. Highly recommend."
"I should have paid more heed to what Ingrid Hill and John Garratt wrote about the trail. It was a VERY difficult hike for someone who is not a young, fit hiker. I expected to get right up to the falls (based on the fact that some reviewers posted beautiful, up-close pictures), but I was sadly mistaken. I hiked the 3/4 mile trip down to the falls (steep going DOWN, which means a difficult climb UP after you are already tired), but the trail doesn't really go down to the falls. You can only see a bit of it from a distance of 100 feet above. It's pretty, but SOOO not worth the strenuous hike down and back. I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it back to my car. I was struggling very badly, crying, having a panic attack, and thought I was going to have to call 911 (except there is zero cell service, so who knows if that would have even worked). I know it sounds like I'm being dramatic, but I am not that kind of person. I have a pretty laid-back, "we'll get through this" kind of personality. But I was pretty scared to say the least. I'm not an avid hiker, so that was probably where I went wrong, and I didn't realize it was downhill to get to the falls and then uphill to get back. The map provided isn't very clear, and the font was tiny, so I could barely read it. It took us about 60-75 minutes before we first caught a glimpse of the falls, and another 15-20 minutes to realize that we weren't going to get a better view if we kept going along the trail. Then it took about two hours to get back up. The one good thing I can say is that the trail was marked with blue paint on the trees so that we didn't stray from the trail. But I would HIGHLY suggest that the Mt. Graylock visitors center (or whoever is in charge of that area) print a better map and put clear information online so that visitors don't get stuck in a situation like I had. Praise Jesus, I didn't slip and fall and break something or sprained my ankle, because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it out of there until the next day."
"This was a challenging hike. Very steep, often along the edge of a ravine with steep drop offs and lots of possible slipage. Without going off trail you cant get right to the falls and the way down was extremely difficult to traverse. Only recommended for the serious waterfall enthusiast or experienced hiker."
"Hard walk back and not much to see, possibly wrong time of year, but there had been a thunderstorm 2 nights previous. We felt the mileage was greater than shown when going to the top and bottom of the falls."
"Short hike to get to the falls. I thought it was a great little waterfall to sit and enjoy. Planning to stop back again next year!"
