"We went during the weekend between lunch and dinner and it was a sunny but not hot day - since it's located on the river bank the seafood is fresh, and so are the oysters. My wife tried a new oyster typeand she didn't like it, not because it was bad but because it was very briney, something she didn't expect in oysters but apparently they are for these types, and I had the fish and chips - and as much as I dislike fish, I ate every iota of mine. So the seafood is good - and I'm not a seafood guy. They also have exactly 1 hamburger for $18 for the non seafood types and I was told it was good but I didn't order it myself. Location - excellent, close to get to from the beach. Service was good - our waitress was quick and efficient, showed just enough attention but didn't intrude Food - good to very good but it's seafood or bust. If we go back,we'll stop again. I recommend sitting outside IN THE SHADE on the patio or just wear a hat and glasses if your on the pier, remarkably I saw no one with a hat and some without sunglasses - how silly."
"We found the back eddy by chance.... And we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service impeccable. We ordered the chowder followed by two of the specials of the day and our toddler enjoyed chicken from the adults main menu. All the food was flavoursome and fresh, my son's chicken dish was moist and tender. Our server Carmen was so accommodating and very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant."
"Beautiful restaurant, location is right on the water. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and a dock for standing on as you wait with a cute bar that you can get drinks and enjoy the views while you wait for your table. The bar (I don’t know if separate from the restaurant only accepts cash) You can get there by boat or car. My husband and I had a lovely dinner. The food was delicious. The waitress was nice, was always checking on us and smiling. She brought extra bread without was even asking as if she had read my mind. The house pickles are delicious and I don’t even like pickles. We arrived at the right time to catch a beautifully sunset. We got there around 7:50pm. Looking forward to come back."
"First time here and had a great time. Beautiful water views, delicious food, great service. Took my dad out for Father's Day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress, Mary Jane, was so polite and attentive. We'll definitely be back again!"
