"Serendipity is a funny thing…. we’ve all had a random experience that changes everything for the better. That thing that gives you a renewed purpose each morning, filling each day with meaning and understanding. That’s what NAVAD’s babka has done for me. If you’re looking for a sweet, braided bread sent from the heavens look no further. This versatile airy delight can be the fuel to start your morning or the last sweet treat to end the day. Add on top of it all the wonderful staff (shoutout to Alexis - thanks for the garlic & thyme challah) working at NAVAD and you get perfection personified through baking. Do yourself a favor and find this bakery. Not next week, not tomorrow. Do it for you. Do it today."
"Love this bakery. I haven't had anything there that hasn't been absolutely delicious. The owner even welcomed us in last summer when we thought the bakery was a storefront. Their babka ( all flavors) is amazing, their thyme challah is next level. Their mushroom and pizza burekas are incredible. Lovely people and phenomenal baked goods."
"I had never heard of NAVAD Bakers until I saw them at a local festival today, but their cinnamon babka is literally one of the best foods I've ever eaten. I don't usually write reviews but needed to share how amazing their babka is, like unreal"
"We have loved Guy's and his team's Babkas and Challahs (and his puns) since the depths of the pandemic. In the spirit of this creativity, I suggest you try chocolate babka with a little whipped cream and roasted hazelnuts. The thyme challah is our favorite for raclette dinner. And now, drumroll please, BUN's makes poppyseed babka!!! Mohn dieu, it is simply to die for: fluffy inside, crisp on the outside, and just the right amount of the amazing poppy seed paste that you can normally get only in central and Eastern Europe, Israel, or Japan (believe it or not — look at my recent reviews of bakeries in Kyoto and Tokyo). Thank you!!"
"Until last night I considered Greens chocolate babka (they bake the ones at Zabars) the gold standard for babka. But after last night, Buns has taken over the number one position because it is softer, moister, chewier and more flavorful which if you have ever eaten Greens babka, means it is really, really good! Buns' babka is available for pick-up at selected locations but I heard that it is also available through Goldbelly for those of us not living in RI. So with all due respect to the bakery on Seinfeld, Buns chocolate babka rules the roost. So your only real decision will be do you cut slices or pull off braids to eat! Rating: Sababa"
