Reviews
"Nice easy path, quite attractive. Not worth too much of a detour however (we drove 15 minutes each way). Saw the beaver pond, but no beavers. On this late July day there were also a lot of mosquitoes, especially on the trail towards the whale, so much so that we turned around after a quarter of a mile. Forest was pretty though, so outside mosquito season perhaps worth it if you're in the area."
"A truly beautiful property owned and maintained by BNRC. Beavers have recently built a dam next to a bridge where a stream once went below. There is also a new trail built on the property in 2022. A feature of the property is an accessible trail, with the goal to offer nature to everyone."
"Nice place for a short stroll or walk. I thought it was easy and simple to follow and the whale rock trail was neat. Also the woodlands trail is good and the little loop on the field. a little muddy in places but not too bad"
"This such a peaceful place. A half mile accessibility path/loop paved with small pea stones around a marshy area perfect for bird sighting that borders Great Barrington foothills. Optional one mile woody path up mountain hillside."
"Very nicely kept accessible .5 mile loop, with a regular hiking trail extension running another mile or so out back. The .5 mile loop is great for kids and strollers. There are lots of spots to picnic and glacial erratics to climb, with views of the surrounding wetlands. The hiking trail extension has a few tree stands in the woods."
