"It's one thing to visit a stunning, immaculate, special theater. It is another to be met with such gracious and accommodating staff. Jeff, Mahaiwe's Box Office Manager, was incredibly helpful and kind, which makes the experience 10x better. Thank you Mahaiwe, hope to see you soon!"
"The Symphony was terrific but the seating on the side was awkward at best. We had what we thought were handicap accessible seating but the seats were not accessible as we thought. This facility is awkward for wheelchair patients. Lesson learned to be more specific with exact needs and look at the seating chart for access"
"Beautiful theater in the heart of Great Barrington. Built in 1905, the theater sits 750 people."
"I havent been to the Mahaiwe since I was a kid, so I was looking forward to seeing a band from my teenage years there. The website was very clear about masking and vaccine protocol, but since we got the tickets months ago we were hoping the mask mandate would be lifted as it has been at other venues. One member in our party has breathing issues and it is difficult for them to wear a mask for prolonged, but there are no exceptions. They patrol the theater throughout the show to reprimand people. No water is allowed (another issue for those with medical problems). The acoustics weren't great, and it was very hot. Definitely one of my least favorite venues around. On a positive note the band was good, and the vaccine card check/ticket check moved along great and the staff was efficient and friendly in that section. The ushers and "mask patrol" folks were not."
