Advanced Security Systems

"(Prices expressed in this review are estimates as it was about 2 years ago that this happened). We were sold a security system, and two cameras. The cameras were way more than we needed, which was basically the same you’d expect in a car dealership or grocery store parking lot with multiple 24/7 4k streaming and recording cameras. We were quoted $3000. We decided we didn’t want to pay that much, so over the phone, we agreed to only one camera with the security system for $2000, but they never sent an updated invoice or quote. So they come and install the security system on one day which took about an hour, and then the camera on another day, also about an hour, which could have easily been done on the same day. So we paid the agreed amount. Then out of nowhere, I get a call from the nastiest, self-loathing, gaslighting debt collector I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Bad enough where after arguing with raised voices on both sides about sending me the invoice that showed where we were $1000 short, and how they “Didn’t have to provide anything” I hung up on them and called advanced security directly. Although they were easier to work with, they also couldn’t find or provide the invoice or quote and it took them 2 weeks to finally tell me that they didn’t have it or had lost it, but still insisted I owed them $1000. When I asked to at least send me a bill that showed what was outstanding, they sent me a bill showing $1000 for the camera, $1000 for the system, and two separate charges of $500 for labor because they were installed on separate days. I begrudgingly paid it, and cancelled the monthly monitoring service immediately and never looked back. Highly unprofessional with extremely expensive labor and shady business practices."
