"My man got the chicken fried steak and yes it very big but very tough and they gave him two tablespoon portion of mashed potatoes for his giant steak, so we asked if he could have more mashed potatoes and they charging us for an extra side I had a grilled cheese sandwich was was actually really good.. we will come back but will stay clear of the chicken fried steak and potatoes"

"As a former gourmet burger joint owner and a frequent maker of "that's the best burger I've ever had!" burgers, I'm always looking for another great burger. I'd heard about the delicious burgers at The Forks and had been wanting to come here for quite some time. I gathered up my wife and drove 40 minutes to finally smash a Forks burger. The Forks is a cute spot nestled just across the road from the lake and requires you to drive through beautiful country to get there. I excitedly walked in and stood by the "Please wait here to be seated" sign. After a little over 5 minutes the bartender came out from behind the bar and asked if we'd been helped. We had not so she said she would fetch the host. Almost 20 minutes later--and I would have left sooner if not for a great spontaneous conversation with another waiting guest--I decided to track down the host myself. I walked to the back and asked for the host. "She's up front" was the reply. No, she's not. I've been waiting for over 20 minutes. "Sorry"... and he walked away. I went back to the front to notify my wife and we decided to grab dinner elsewhere. As we were headed out the door that same sorry young man approached us with a clipboard. "There's a 15 minute wait" he said to the couple who'd been waiting for 25 minutes to get noticed. There were also at least 4 places where the two of us could have sat at the bar. I'll try them again in the off season when they're not too busy to even greet guests. I'll update my review when and if that burger lives up to the hype."

"Nice place to come and hang out. You can eat inside or outside. The inside has a bar with tables. If u sit outside, u can see the lake from your table. We came here for a few nights. Its a cute little place. The people were friendly. My husband had a club sandwich with fries, onion rings (not good), and a tuna melt that was actually pretty good. Not that many choices on menu, and definitely nothing healthy. I'd go back again if I'm brave enough for an artery clogger."
