"A lovely cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating. It's laptop-friendly, and the interior is very cute and modern. The service was great, and since it is conveniently located I enjoyed my coffee to-go in Alamo Square. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by :)"
"Great hipster cafe. Delicious coffees and pastries. I had the Avocado Mash open face sandwich. Really yummy. Great bread and jams for sale as well."
"Tried this cafe and bakery that was about two streets away from The Painted Ladies, and can't say I'm not a little disappointed. I had read some rave reviews about their toast prior, but sadly it didn't live up to the hype. I shared three toasts with my family (the avocado, the egg in a hole, and the ricotta with jam). The avocado was the least favorite for everyone. It was very tarty, and I wish I tasted more of the natural avocado. The ricotta cheese with jam ended up being everyone else's favorite as it had a moderate sweetness to it. And lastly, the egg in a hole with the buttery bread was my favorite, albeit a little messy. Although I ended up liking 2/3 of them, it was still expensive for just decent toast. It was nothing extraordinary like what I read in reviews. The cafe is a nice place to sit and enjoy your pastry and coffee though, as it was larger than expected with good amounts of seating indoors and some outside."
"The open bakery makes wonder bread as well as a few pastries and breakfast items. I was staying with friends in the area and needed coffee and was up early. Fortunately a bakery is always open early. There are a bunch of small tables, well spaced and a large communal one near the center. Your order from the counter which is adjacent to the bread rack, it’s hard to resist. If you get there early as I did, the bread will still be warm. I ended up getting a coffee and a avocado toast which I kid you not was on the thickest slice of bread I have ever seen. It was almost 1.5” tall (40mm) but it was delicious! I ordered the California Gold loaf which is delicious!"
