"This is my favorite place to come to swim. The beach is usually clean, and the water is calm. No parking usually, though. Easily accessible for those who have difficulty traversing sand in order to get to the water."
"A lovely corner! This area was poppin today for the 4th of July. I’m excited to come back on a less busy day. We took the kayaks out and went for a jaunt on the water. Nice little area!"
"I love coming here for my triathlon training! Great place to practice open water swims. Lots of swimmers and triathletes come here every weekend."
"Good swimming spot. Great place to take an afternoon nap too. Not the cleanest place and a lot more family friendly than the name suggests. The lifeguards seem to really not like their jobs I guess the sun exposure might have something to do with it. The water is very shallow for any beginner s looking to learn."
"The most beautiful local beach location! Gorgeous multi-million dollar homes to look upon while you kayak, paddle board, soak in the sun or jump on the new bounce course that the city of Long Beach added for the summer! I have lived here for a decade and love the diverse group of visitors, the fireworks visible from Disneyland, seal beach, huntington beach and the queen mary and the walk life here. There are a ton of delicious restaurants, bars, cute shops and a nearby dog beach. The best of beach life with small waves only a block away and a completely calm bay for the kiddos to swim and play in. 4th of July is really the only hectic date that I would say is not entirely kid friendly as s it is VERY crowded and the vibe is definitely somewhat alcohol laden. A lot of people complain about parking but there are a ton of both paid and free street parking options available just depending on whether you're willing to walk a couple short blocks. Also the area is very bike friendly."
