Reviews
"Really great library. Unfortunately it has some issues that need to be attended to. The bathrooms (at least the men’s bathroom) have poorly functioning of non-functional sinks. There is no hot water. There is also only one hand dryer. In the library, the cafe remains shut down and boarded up. Hand sanitizer station in the library have also been empty for months. If these issues were addressed this would be one of the best libraries in the area."
"This is the greatest library in the world, and thus the known universe. I have lived in many countries and exhausted many afternoons. I specifically recommend the microfiche archives and the chess books. On the way out, you can pick up some free wood chips!"
"I LOVE this library and visit it frequently. It is a very spacious library. Half of it is devoted to children, and the other half for adults. They offer lots of comfortable seating plus they have several desks that can be used for study. There are multiple computers available for use and they can be utilized for up to 2 hour periods with a daily passcode you can obtain from the circulation desk. You also have access to a private room suitable for group study. They have a snack machine (should you get hungry while you're there) and there's even an outdoor courtyard if you want to step outside to eat something. There is also a soda machine available, but you can easily fill water bottles with filtered water from either of their two water fountains if you prefer. In addition to books, the library is also a great place to check out DVDs and audiobooks, and you can even reserve items from other libraries within the T.O. system (i.e. Newbury Park) which can be brought over to this location for you to check out if you prefer. They also have quite a large selection of used books, DVD's, and CD's available for purchase at rock bottom prices (i.e. CD's for 25 cents) No visit to this library would be complete without stopping to enjoy the huge saltwater aquarium in the center of it between the children and adult sections. It is the "jewel" of the library and a great way to relax, refocus, and enjoy a little nature between readings. They also offer several ongoing events, most weekly, which are worth checking out. Some of the events they host are for children, some are geared more for adults, but many are for all ages. The staff is abundant, accessible, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I'm often asking for help and I rarely have to wait for it. I can't say enough good things about this library. It is definitely my all time favorite public library."
"Lots of parking, huge fish tank, lots of computer, a large selection of books for sale in the back of the library. There's many chairs to sit and read on. Has clean bathrooms. The library is modern, clean and well maintained and has several programs to members online. If you're in the area it's worth a visit. The library even has some books for the indigenous language of the natives of Thousand Oaks. In the parking lot there was a pile of woodchip given away for free. The next lot over near the senior center they have a nice garden that's worth seeing."
"Awesome library, been going to this place since my kids were toddlers. They have fun story times, puppet shows, reading time, a really big fish tank, and plenty of books. This place has a great seating arrangement and good WiFi connection as well. A good place for entire family. The adjacent park has a small trial and plenty of open space for playing."
