"Clean and gorgeous. Tons of surfers and lifeguards are on top of it. Lots of folks playing volleyball, hand ball, bocce and just enjoying the beach. Not crowded and easy access"
"Beautiful beach , we just stop by for the view. We can’t wait to actually go again to enjoy the beach ."
"Great views in the morning and at sun down. Easy to get down to the beach. Vegetation is very dry even after significant rains. The vegetation doesn't seem to be entirely California native plants, they just let the grass die. They could probably relandscape with native plants and it would improve the overall look at the sites."
"I went to this state beach in spring time. Small narrows that beautifying the beach. Really quiet and clean area. Lifeguard are not in the tower during this time of the year, but there’s lifeguard patrols. Water temp 58/60F."
"This place is not flashy, but it has a soft sense of intimacy. I had a car over night stay here about a year ago, but it kept my memory, so bought a beach towel, prepared a drink, and came back with the dogs. There are not so many people on the Beach but trail road is a lot of people walking or running. Rangers are monitoring everything on the beach at the tower in the middle of the Pier and are broadcasting announcements, that's why I felt more safe. Cafes and restaurants are nearby, so it's good to have brunch on Sunday, and if you buy coffee early in the morning and sit on the beach and look at the sea for a while, it's romantic."
