"I attended one of their handroll class night recently and it was a fun experience! Chef John was amazing and the fish was fresh. The class comes with five hand rolls, where you learned how to wrap a traditional roll and a cone roll by yourself. The cocktails were really good too. Highly recommend the lychee martini!"
"I really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere here. We had the crispy rice, baked salmon roll, spicy yellow tail roll, and the mango coconut roll. The crispy rice was amazing and surprisingly spicy (the spicy yellow tail was also spicier than expected, which we loved). The atmosphere is dark and romantic, perfect for a date night. I'm taking a star away for the service, though. The hostess, bussers, and food runners were all great and the owner (John I think) came out to greet us and wished us a happy anniversary. Our waiter, though, was pretty bad (I cannot remember his name, but he has dark, curly hair). He took about 10 minutes to address us in the first place and the restaurant was pretty empty, he forgot to take our food order after getting our drinks so we had to flag him down to order, he never checked on us during our meal, and we had to flag him down to get our check after sitting at an empty table for 15 minutes. We would have ordered another round of drinks and dessert if he ever came back to our table. After being ignored we insisted on getting our check even though he offered a free dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary. With better trained wait staff this place would be 5 stars in my opinion."
"The best Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles! Hands down they have the freshest fish and their sushi is bomb!"
"Caviar wishes and martini dreams. That’s what Kaviar in Pasadena can provide. They now offer an omasake option, a chef’s tasting menu, and its perfectly curated for an impeccable dining experience. A few things I loved that were off the tasting menu were their uni pasta and the toro tartar which is prepared table side. The Uni just melted away at its first bite and pasta was so creamy. The Toro tartar was sublime and so fresh! So grab your date and head on over to Kaviar."
"I’ve been to the one in DTLA and it was a solid spot and I heard this was the first one so I decided to check it out. We ordered the prefix menu which is pictured and ordered other items as we finished. Overall it was a phenomenal selection of food that was well curated and our server Sam was also great. Every sushi and appetizer was solid and the entire dining experience was great. It was hard to pick the best item because all of it was delicious. I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items. Parking is limited to garage or street parking."
