"I'm very disappointed with this place and their judge (she just seemed annoyed all the time and seemed like she doesn't like her job). They have the power to bring justice and bring order by punishing the criminals but instead decides to protect and favor them by only seeing black and white. If I would have known, I would not have wasted my legal fees and time as a plaintiff."
"Long Beach court was beautiful, clean and felt safe. The court room was very up to date and felt comfortable. The judge was super unprofessional and off when it came to her opinions and felt very out of line. She did not deal with what the best interest for the children were, but wanted to gossip and trash talk people in the room which they could not respond back to."
"The legal system with all its complicated process and procedures is sometimes difficult to successfully navigate for even the best of attorneys let alone for someone whose situation does not afford them to have legal representation and must represent themselves. The self help center does NOT provide legal advice, however what they DO is help one get through the technical processes needed for court proceedings. The assistance they provide is an invaluable asset to the public, for without their help many people would not even get a chance to be heard to begin with. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and patient. Get there early because the people needing their help are many, and the staff on hand are comparitively few. I am so grateful for the assistance I received. Thank you!"
"I don’t know who processed the paperwork for tickets. I sent a reduction in pay due to me being unemployed, a student with no money, and they expected me to pay $160. This is why students in America are broke. I literally used my phone just to see the map for one second. I seen people drive crazy and do other worse things and they don’t even get a ticket. Second of all, I sent a reduction in pay and they didn’t reduce anything. They just extended the date of the deadline EXCEPT they didn’t even input that correctly into the system. So now I have an overdue ticket and they might add an additional $100 on top of my ticket. I have no money to pay so what are they going to do? I can’t even afford food."
