Critics argue that this puts financial strain on members and their families. The Church is known for aggressively pursuing legal action against critics and ex-members. This has led to concerns about freedom of speech and the ability to openly discuss concerns about the organization. Critics claim that the Church suppresses dissent and criticism, using tactics such as disconnection, where members are encouraged to cut ties with friends or family who are critical of Scientology. At the end of the day, you are walking into the doors of a money scheme that will destroy you emotionally and separate you from those you love."

"I stumbled across this place several years ago and have experienced nothing but continuous self-improvement from a personal and business perspective since. It's essentially a library of the Scientology books. The staff are gracious and have no agenda but to help you with whatever you're looking for. I've been surprised with how much value I've gained studying here - productivity training, help when relationships got rocky, spiritual betterment etc. All simple and effective solutions for peanuts compared to alternative methods such as pricey business courses and traditional therapy. If you've heard rumors (which you have), don't believe the hype. They've probably never stepped foot in a Scientology building and certainly haven't touched a book. At 26 years old I'm thriving and doing better than ever and these guys deserve some credit for that."

"This is a very nice place located right here on the border of Moorpark and Simi. It's easy to get to - located in the shopping center right off the freeway on the way to Moorpark College (Collins Dr.) My husband and I did a seminar there called Personal Efficiency which was fabulous. It was only 2.5 hours, but we both learned a lot about how to improve our work life. I have actually found myself using that information again and again on a daily basis. Probably the most helpful 2.5 hours I've spent learning something! I've since studied a small course on Parenting, Marriage and another regarding how to handle and manage personal finances. They were all extremely helpful and not difficult to study. I'm very happy the Church of Scientology has this local branch here!"
