About the Business
Welcome to St. Mary Magdalen Church, a vibrant and welcoming community located at 25 North Las Posas Road, Camarillo, California 93010. As a proud member of the Roman Catholic Church, we are dedicated to celebrating and proclaiming the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our parish is deeply rooted in the history of Camarillo, and we take pride in reflecting the rich diversity of our community.
At St. Mary Magdalen, we are committed to a rich sacramental life that nourishes our faith, builds our community, and inspires us to respond to Christ’s call to holiness. Our mission is to motivate, challenge, and encourage Catholic believers in their spiritual journey with God and with others, offering a perspective that is prayerful, encouraging, and sometimes challenging.
Guided by the words of John 13:34, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another," we strive to embody the love and message of Jesus Christ. Our spirituality is nourished by the Word and the Eucharist, engaging our hearts, opening our minds, and energizing us for the great adventure of being disciples of Jesus.
Service is at the heart of our mission, and we encourage our members to generously offer their time, talents, and treasures to meet the needs of our parish and the broader community. We invite you to join us in this journey of faith and service.

"We attended this church for months. It is not a welcoming parish and it was very hard to find information on how to get involved in groups. The website is sparse and little current information can be found (other than mass times and the weekly bulletin--which looks the same week in and week out). The priests and the parishioners were not very friendly--except for one woman greeter. They get in, get out and race to their cars. The homilies were not inspiring either. Parking is wonky and they really need to re-stripe the parking lot. At a time when the Catholic church's numbers are rapidly declining, I would think every church would be more welcoming and inclusive. Although the other Catholic church in Camarillo is more liberal, they are WAY more welcoming to newcomers. Perhaps SMM should take a lesson from them."
"The original Saint Mary Magdalene that was the Adolpho Camarillo Family Chapel is beautiful, especially at lit up at night. The family mausoleum is below the chapel."
"Went to a funeral with my Grandpa. Though it was a sad affair, the staff was very compassionate to the needs of the family and was accommodating to those who may not know how the ceremony is performed. I wish they would have maybe a explained a little more in depth, but overall it went very smooth. I also wish they would have used the banquet hall for the after event but that was probably up to the family in the end. It's a beautiful church with lots of room."
"This is the newer version Church, very nice. On Monday, Mini-Meals has a free dinner here that's tough to miss. Sign-up starts at 5pm"
