"Love this Airpark. Became a member this year and received a friendly welcome from all. Have enjoyed getting to know everyone and have appreciated all the great advice and knowledge shared. I was especially appreciative of my new friends when I was recently stranded at Oxnard airport due to a failed starter. No one at Oxnard airport including the many mechanics that came by could assist me. I made a couple of calls to my friends at VCUAS and left some messages. Within a few minutes I received a call from fellow member Jim Kolh who listened to my story and then informed me that not only did he have a spare starter for my Rotax 503, but would bring it over to me. Within 20 minutes Jim arrived with the starter and a few minutes later we had my engine started and I was able to bring my Challenger home to the airpark. Jim refused to take any money for his time and told me I was part of the VCUAS family and we take care of each other. In addition to this wonderful experience, while I was waiting for Jim to arrive I received a call from a fellow member Charles who called out of concern as my hangar was open and I had not yet returned from my morning flight. I explained the situation and thanked him for his concern. I am so appreciative and grateful for Jim, Charles and all the great people at this Airpark. It truly is a family who takes care of each other, and I am thankful they have adopted me into this great organization. Gratefully, Tony Falcone"
