Wellness Center at Elizabeth Learning Center (SCFHC)

Welcome to the Wellness Center at Elizabeth Learning Center, proudly operated by South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC). Located at 4811 Elizabeth Street, Cudahy, California, our wellness center has been serving the community since September 2016 through a partnership with the L.A. Trust for Children’s Health and LAUSD. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care services that are easily accessible to students and the wider community.

Our school-based wellness center makes visiting a healthcare provider as convenient as a walk down the school hallway. We welcome all students, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay, and offer services to everyone, irrespective of documentation status, age, gender, race, or background. Our commitment is to ensure that financial limitations do not prevent anyone from receiving the care they need.

For those eligible, our staff is available to assist with enrollment in affordable health insurance plans. If insurance is not an option, we provide a sliding fee scale based on income, and many patients qualify for free services. We accept a variety of payment methods, including MediCare, MediCal, credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express), and cash.

Students can access services with a signed consent form from a parent or guardian, though parental attendance at visits is not required. All services are confidential, and our team strives to minimize classroom disruptions by providing Request to Report slips for appointments during school hours. Students may also visit the center without an appointment by obtaining a pass from the Student Support Service Coordinator, a Counselor, or a School Nurse.
