"I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shereen. The first time I saw him it was for a rather urgent matter for which I was waiting to see a specialist. He not only did quick follow-up research and called me 15 minutes after my appointment to confirm the proper specific treatment, but also called me after-hours later that evening to check in with me. Each time I see him since then he continues to be extremely personable, patient, engaged, is as easy to talk to as a close friend, and is seemingly as knowledgable as a specialist in just about every question I can throw at him. Every single concern I bring up, no matter how small or insignificant it may be, is met with an extremely thoughtful response, always with explanations of conditions and options for treatments, weighing side effects vs. benefits, laying out a game plan for future treatment if needed, etc. The difference between "being treated" and feeling like part of the treatment sounds minor, but is enormous; I leave every appointment with him feeling like everything is easily manageable because I learned so much about my concerns and outlook. Unfortunately many other doctors, by contrast, give a quick nod, jot a note, and say "take this and I'll see you in two weeks", leaving you feeling in the dark with no more clarity or understanding than when you first walked in -- that's not Dr. Shereen at all. After having a few of my doctors retire or move away in a short period of time over the last few years, I'm hoping that this review of what a great doctor he is (and what all doctors should be) helps to show what an asset he is to the office and community. Please stick around for a long time, and don't lose that one-in-a-million passion and dedication to your patients."
