"This was the best experience I have had with an ER by far. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who gave me such kindness. Almost every ER I have been to with my pain has looked at me like a drug addict and refused to do any test or actually listen to me and I was there for hoursss. So thank you for actually listening to my concerns, thank you for not look at me as a drug seeker, thank you for showing me kindness and concern and actually caring about my health."
"On Thursday Morning around 10 AM March 21st, St John's level of care ALWAYS exceeds my expectations from the ER triage to ER room. The nurses Nikki and the nurse filling in on her break were genuinely caring. I wished I was able to catch the other nurses name except she was so professional and caring it showed inside and out while she had business to do. I am so happy I got people who care from the guy taking me to the CT Scan which was broken but I managed to get to the other one. The fact the nurse Nikki could Instantly see I was in pain really speaks volumes. She was 100% correct. It's too easy for a Physician's assistant to assume I was okay after CT Scan showed that I had a UTi and dismissive about my pain and me passing kidney stones all night after the CT Scan. He just saw it as a UTI and maybe stones. Not cool. I asked many stones to find out there's more and not much can be done. I was still in pain but had to wait three hours in the hospital to get out just to get Vicodin from my pharmacy which is a joke at 3 hours after seeing the PA. I wouldn't mind waiting if it was an hour but 3 hours passed by after the PA had seen me. 3 hours of pain and discomfort. I would have been okay with a slow morphine shot even if they were not working well it would have helped due length of time. I will not let this lack of sympathy override what my nurses had for my well-being. I've had a minor run in when I had my gall bladder taken out years ago here, but the nurses were my saving grace. If I could ever thank the ER triage for giving me in so quickly, I would do so. They were amazing too. Empathy kindness, and compassion are everything. All the nurses had shown great thought, good deeds, and kind words. Thank you to those who were helpful and not just merely pushing me out to get out their way and out of the hospital alone. Trust me I lost 3 thousand dollars during my stay. I really wanted to leave as much earlier as any person who lacks compassion for others to get them out ASAP. If I know if this is the mentality then so do other patients. That is a terrible model that goes against the essence of your hospital's motto. I've been here for some emergencies and surgeries to know better. This place is above AMAZING because of Nikki.and her assistant nurse. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my wife thanks you too. Nikki and your fill in nurse ROCK. Raises are due. What great attitudes. I love it. Who wouldn't? "If I could give this place a negative star review I would. I have so much trauma surrounding this hospital. I have been verbally abused, gaslit and neglected in dire circumstances of medical emergency. The facility is filthy, the staff are unprofessional and just plain rude. I’ve made it very clear to my family that no matter what happens and I am unable to make my own medical decisions DO NOT BRING ME TO ST. JOHNS!!!"
"Ohhh wow , that's not even the best of it they took excellent care of me Teresa Balogh, and I was in there for about 6 days a really bad Lung Infection. So yes I do recommend going to Saint John's Hospital."
"I took my daughter there for a broken finger. A doctor quickly came out to the front desk to briefly assess her hand and were told that we might have to wait an hour for X-rays. We only waited 30 minutes. We were sent back to the waiting room and waited about another 30 minutes before being called back and treated for the fracture. When my daughter was called back in, they took her vitals, got her Tylenol and the doctor came back to show her X-rays on his phone. He gave her two numbing shots. They had to do that in a hallway because no room was available. I was just grateful they were taking care of her. A room then became available and they took her in, gave her one last shot and put the finger back in place. Then an Xray technician came in with a mobile machine and took more X-rays. After that, we had to wait a long time to get the x-rays put on a CD. We couldn't leave without them. In the end we were there for almost 4 hours. We stayed in the room for over 90 minutes just to get those x-ray and be discharged. At least we were able to wait in the room and not the main waiting room.Overall not a bad experience. Not sure about billing yet. They are supposed to bill my insurance. Hopefully that goes smoothly."
