Turning Point Foundation
About the Business
Welcome to Turning Point Foundation, a dedicated health organization located at 620 East Thompson Boulevard, Ventura, California. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for adults facing serious mental illness, addiction, homelessness, and inadequate physical health care. We provide a comprehensive range of services designed to support individuals in regaining control of their lives and achieving lasting stability.
Our Temporary, Transitional, and Permanent Supported Housing programs offer safe and supportive living environments for adults with mental health challenges, many of whom have experienced homelessness. These programs are tailored to help residents develop and maintain essential community living skills, fostering successful reintegration and sustained residential stability.
In addition to our housing programs, we operate the Oxnard Clubhouse on 5th Street in Oxnard and the New Visions Center in Ventura. These rehabilitation centers are vital resources for individuals struggling with severe mental illnesses, offering them a supportive space to learn how to live more independently and become active, integrated members of the community.
At Turning Point Foundation, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve, empowering them to overcome challenges and build a brighter future. Join us in our mission to transform lives and create a healthier, more inclusive community.

"I have never been there !! But I do know how important it is to have a place to go where it's safe ! While on their new journey on a NEW PATH OF SOBRIETY..."
"Turning Point Foundation has always come through for me without fail and for that I am enturnly grateful and I feel blessed for there services that they provide."
"There name is on everything yet they cant help anyone. Good for you for collecting food baskets for the homeless and low income families. What else is being done to serve people with mental illness and chronic homelessness? Sooooo many services offered but yet NOT ONE SINGLE CALL BACK. Waste of time and gives people false hope that these programs are actually available to the public. I wanted to add them to a resource list for those seeking help, and I did add them, but will since be removing them since it's clear they cant be of any help. Had enough of the poor mental health care in Ventura. Period."
"All of Turning Point Foundation is terrible. They are not experienced in dealing with mentally ill adults. They employ people that don't care about you and you get treated like crap. Our place shelter is so run down, I've witnessed homeless clients being mistreated there and also at the Wellness Center in Oxnard. They are detrimental to the field of mental health and deserve to be fined and shut down. They do not provide mental health services and if you have a mental illness or drug addiction, you should seek professional help elsewhere."
"Good people doing great things. There is a need for funding or contributions of food and clothing. I have (unfortunately) became homeless. These wonderful people are there day or night. A fantastic organization. I am on my feet again, and am happy to be affiliated with Turning point."
