"Love them minnie tacos and iced coffee. Always have fun making up my own nacho."
"Worst 7/11 ever. Lied to me about the lotto machine. Employee said it didn’t work, I glanced over at the ticket reader and it’s clearly on. No error message. Was about to mention it to him until the other employee chimed in stating that it’s shift change. I even stopped a man from attacking the employees one morning. I thought that would gain me some brownie points but I was wrong. I’m just going to stop coming here even though it’s convenient."
"Yesterday morning I ran into our local 7’11 (one I have frequented often with my kids prior to the pandemic). I went in this time by myself, masked and with a knit cap on because I was hoping to see if they were selling these musical valentines cards that they have sold in previous years that my 6 year old enjoys so much. I quickly assessed they didn’t have the cards and with the pandemic in mind immediately left the store. I was followed out of the store by an employee who began to bang on my car and demand that I “put back what I stole.” He informed me that I looked suspicious because of the way I was dressed (my knit hat, mask, and my 13-year old son’s vans black jacket and the fact that I came in looked around and just left). As you can imagine an argument ensued as I explained the cards I came for and he rudely asserted they don’t even sell those cards which they do. Ive come to learn it is actually illegal to follow someone out of a store for suspected shoplifting and I’m certain banging on someone’s car because they left the store quickly with no proof accept for a hunch and an implicit bias based on my appearance is equally unacceptable. I’ll be following up with corporate."
"I went to the 7-Eleven store about 2 AM this morning. I was going hoping to avoid running into a lot of people. During the time I was there this black guy who was probably in his early 20s came into the store with no mask on, did not practice any social distancing whatsoever, and the security guard at the store said nothing to him. All I could do it to keep moving away from the guy who kept coming extremely close to me.What was weird, is when I was leaving, there was a Latino girl who was attempting to come into the store as I was getting into my car and the security guard would not allow her in the store without a mask. Of course that was a great thing to do, but it left me confused as to why he would let the black guy in with no mask on who is constantly talking and not practicing social distance, and did not say a word to him. It was extremely unsettling."
"The 7-11 corporate office and the franchisee/operator of this location (Slauson & Angeles Vista) should be ashamed. As a long time resident of the View Park community, I have watched the steady decline of this store. The store is often dirty inside with shelves containing little inventory. But the biggest issue is the one I just witnessed once again as I drove by: A CONSTANT PARADE OF DANGEROUS LOOKING PANHANDLERS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO LITERALLY SIT OUTSIDE THE DOORS AND BEG FOR MONEY ALL DAY!! These people actually come to your car door as you get out... that is so very dangerous!! 7-11 corporate will NOT even give concerned customers the courtesy of a return call/email and the operator of this location could care less because he surely doesn't live in this community...he is just making money. Do Not bother with this location...I've actually written of the entire store chain and so have many of my neighbors. The lack of concern and action to initiate basic safety and cleanliness is highly offensive."
