"I very rarely bother to leave a review but I was really pleasantly surprised and truly appreciate that Joy (the staff) dropped whatever she was doing and helped me find my shade for the concealer and skin tint. You could tell that she genuinely loves helping people and she goes out of the way to make sure I get the right shade match. Thank you so much Joy, you really made my day. "I’ve always appreciated Sephora’s mission to create a welcoming beauty shopping experience for everyone, which is why I was disappointed with my visit today. I went in with the intention of expanding my makeup collection and getting a complete new set of products, including applicators. However, despite seeing customers receiving assistance, trying out makeup, and getting color-matched as soon as I entered, I had to wait a full 30 minutes before being greeted. Throughout my visit, I had to go up to the front counter each time I had a question or needed a recommendation. I was even advised to look for one of the products at a different store and asked to leave my shopping basket at the counter. The staff were pleasant, but one particular interaction left me uncomfortable, as it felt like I was being questioned about the quantity of items I was purchasing. For context, I bought twenty full-sized items. As I had just landed and this store was conveniently close to LAX, it was the most accessible option for me. I am not sure if there were concerns about shoplifting at this location, but the experience was far from the inclusive atmosphere that Sephora strives to provide. This made what should have been a fun and engaging shopping trip feel awkward and unsettling. Despite these setbacks, I did manage to find most of the products I needed, which was a relief. I hope the staff at this location can work on creating a more comfortable and welcoming environment for all customers in the future."

"After a huge lack of oversight at the Torrance location, I came here. The woman was appalled at how many items I didn’t chose had been added to my order. She rectified the issues AND rechecked all my information AND made sure I got my points. 10/10"

"Went into Kohls to return some of my Amazon orders. Was excited to see that a Sephora was now there! I had a list of items I wanted to purchase and a couple of questions I wanted to ask. I walked in there and looked at some of The ordinary products, stopped by and looked at some biossance items I was interested on. By this point I had been at the store for a few minutes, and no one had come to greet me or ask me if I needed anything, I was the only one there. While I was looking at some murad items I felt the employee watching me as she was behind me. Still no “are you finding everything ok?” By this point I felt like my presence there wasn’t needed, so I left. The customer service at the Sephora in the marina is always lovely! I’m always greeted as soon as I walk in the door and the employees are always eager to help me with any questions."
