"I love Abbott Square. It's become my second home. Large outdoor seating area, plenty of room for dancing. They light up heat lamps in the evenings I always bump into people I know there and I've made a lot of new friends there as well. They have music, djs and events all the time. It's free. The best part are all the food options, so if you go with a group, you don't all have to eat at the restaurant or split the bill because we eat on the community patio. Oh and every single one of the eateries there are excellent!!!! There is a bar and wine bar too, for those who drink."

"Very fun and variety rich market square. Quality music can be heard Fridays much of the year. There is a beer Garten seving craft brews from many local high quality breweries, Bar, Hamburger Joint and desert Cafe amongst other food places. You can come and go as you please too. Abbott Square has a quite intimate feel for an outside venue with ample table seating and standing room, pleasant lighting and a very artsy feel. Dogs seem welcome too. Parking is surprisingly good for downtown Santa Cruz. I am a musician who has played there and they provide a professional sound system run by a competent sound person that keeps things under control, not too loud and well balanced. Much dancing occurs at most shows. I recommend checking it out. Thanks"

"Chill spot with great food and drink choices. Something for everyone, you can't go wrong! But I gotta say the arepas are outstanding and the pizza looks legit too but I didn't try it."

"Super cute food hall vibes with multiple offering… cheese shop, wine and beer bar, pizza shop, chicken sandwich spot and craft cocktail bar. Definitely grab a glass of wine and hit up the cheese shop for a super reasonable charcuterie board. Highly recommend!"
