"Thrifty Bargain in Chico has some really good deals, but the shopping experience could be a lot better. The inside of the store is pretty dirty, and the outside isn't much better. While I appreciate the bargains, the overall environment needs improvement. If they could make the place cleaner and more comfortable, it would be a much friendlier place to shop. With a little effort in keeping things clean and tidy, this store could be a real gem."

"Absolutely love Thrifty Bargain! My daughter and I purchased numerous baby clothes for my grandson prior to and after he was born. The clothes are nice, clean and well priced. Sometimes you fine brand new clothing too. The staff is nice and helpful. We usually shop in Yuba City and occasionally Chico. I enjoy the Chico store."

"I love Thrifty Bargain and almost always find something awesome. Prices are usually reasonable, especially when discounted. The biggest negative is that they wash all the clothes in something really smelly that's super hard to remove. I'm sensitive to scents, so I have to soak everything in vinegar, wash several times, and air in direct sunlight before I can wear it. I wish they'd stop doing that..."

"Sometimes there is a ton of stuff to wade through. TONS of clothes for reasonable prices! Note that this is a business and not a charity! Lot of negatives: Been going to this store for years, and it feels like it's becoming a flea market/dollar store. Lots of "new" stuff -- probably return items from bigger stores because a lot are opened. Fewer quality items nowadays. Before there used to be great stuff all the time with much lower prices. Now certain types of items are at least double priced like they only want to sell them on their "sale" days. One time had a worker take an item from my hand and raise the price... huh? Honestly felt like discrimination and didn't return for a long time."
