"Great hike from the giant redwoods to a quiet stretch of beach. Because I found three ticks on my person, I am now of two minds about this hike, so I give it one star."
"It is a hiking course that goes through the redwood forest to the beach. It is a beginner's course that takes about 40 to 50 minutes each way, and the trail is well maintained and easy to walk. ❣❣ It is a hiking course that goes through the redwood forest to the beach, it is a course for beginners about 40 to 50 minutes one way, and the trail is well maintained and it was easy to walk ❣ ❣"
"Nice hiking trail with fewer people, but it’s raining and cold at the end of December (40F). Unfortunately, we couldn’t approach the beach because of the flood (please see the pics ). We tried to detour but failed. Be prepared that your shoes will get very dirty or wet because of the muddy conditions. I suggest that you do NOT go there during rainy/snowing days like us unless you have nothing to do. The trail is flat at the beginning, then continuing decline till the beach. Please compare with another comment around March that you can consider if it's ok for you or your family. Please consider whether to go when it is cold and rainy in winter. There will be muddy and puddled water along the way. Even near the seaside, there will be a lot of water that makes it impossible to walk to the beach. The detours are also filled with water above the ankles (we had to give up). Be mentally prepared that your shoes will be dirty or even wet. You can refer to another person’s spring and summer comments. The trail is relatively flat at the beginning but then it’s all downhill, and when you come back it’s all uphill!"
"This is a nice hike to the beach. It starts a little incline and then mostly decline down to the water. The scenery is good with plenty of trees and ferns to take good pictures. The way back in mostly incline so bringing plenty of water would be good otherwise a water filter kit would work too. Plenty of water sources available along the trail. During March, there were lots of muddy patches so be prepared to get your shoes dirty. It wasn’t crowded on the trail and we were on the ones at the beach enjoying lunch."
