"Deep pot holes in the dirt rd hidden by murky water. 2 cars cannot pass as you approach the Dunes. Old parking lot is locked behind the gate. There is a port-o-potty at the base of the dunes."
"With its long stretch of sandy beach and crashing waves, Zmudowski state beach is a great spot to experience California's coast line. The windswept coast feels wild and untamed. Beachcombing yields small nice shells and rocks and some wildlife spottings. Hiking the beach with ocean vistas make this a great place to visit for natural beauty."
"We always have a good time at this beach. Over the years the parking lot is getting smaller due to an encroaching sand dune, but we’ve always been able to park"
"Absolutely a beautiful beach, and barely any people around. Getting there is bit tricky as the roads are not very smooth, but totally worth the trip"
"Great shallow beach. Great for little kids to play on. The hike over the sand dune to get to the Beach is not easy and there is only a porta potty in the very small parking area. Dirt roads to get to a dirt parking lot make the area remote. Busy side from the hike over the dune we had a really good time."
