"A really nice place to walk (or ride your bike). There are 2 tails that you can take, we stayed on the scienc walking path & went all the way to see the old Fort Ord military bunkers. Called the cell phone state parks guided tour # & learned more about them. It was very cool & the view from above was even more so as you could see the whole coastline while Turkey vultures flew over head. Ground squirrels, lizards, & other nature birds all around in my own back yard. .so to speak."
"Yet another very enchanting place in California! Sitting right off Monterey Bay, in between Monterey and Santa Cruz, it is definitely a relaxing reprieve to the hustle and bustle of the cities that surrounds the area. But even though, the overall appealing attitudes and personalities in this region highlights the enjoyment of being here. I was impressed!"
"We had a great time walking the beach today. I found lots of small sea glass and sand crabs. Sadly there was a dead whale that had washed up on the beach. The park has a great paved trail for walking an cycling. It does not have drive up access to view the bunkers which are about a 3/4 Mike walk from the nearest place to park off street. We enjoyed our morning."
"Great for a walk on the beach. Almost never a lot of people."
"A beautiful secluded spot. On a clear day you can easily see Monterey, Pacific Grove, Moss Landing, and Santa Cruz. A great place to surf and fish but if you plan on getting in the water you should be comfortable with rip currents. If you stand on the dune and look out towards the sea and can't see any I would not get in."
