"Beautiful! Was not too crowded when I went. I am sad that the pier came down after a freak storm a couple years ago. I know it used to smell bad, but it doesn’t anymore. Since it is a state park, you have to pay for parking."
"The water here rarely has visibility over 6ft and it’s typically very murky. This area is also well known for having dozens of juvenile Great Whites in shallow water! Very beautiful Beach"
"The beach isn't very long but it is wide. The SS Palo Alto has so much amazing history behind it. I loved learning about it. Such a beautiful calming place, perfect to relax at."
"A short video to share with you all. https://youtu.be/s3F1fYIIChE?si=tqer_h10GcivSK3i One of the first state beaches from the original port. A historical cement ship used to be an amusement center but now still a spectacular spot along the beach. A steep hike from the beach to the parking lot. Fees required. Good for all ages."
"Beach area had lots of areas to sit, but it looks like there was some damage to the fencing around the shore. Lots of barricades up and wooden posts scattered throughout. The sand was not clear of debris and likely I’m not sure I would choose this beach for kids to dig about and run around. However for us adults it was as beautiful as the ocean always is."
