"I've rented from this facility on and off for some years now and have always had an excellent experience. Just rented a unit and Mark assisted me. He was very professional and juat a wonderful personality. The same goes with Mikael. Always great customer service with these 2. Always greeting you with a friendly wave or hello and always helpful when I run into any issues or questions. Highly recommend these 2. Love this facility as it's the cleanest and well taken care of than the others."
"5 stars for both Susie and Mikael. Whenever i have had any issues or concerns come up while renting a storage unit at this facility, either Susie or Mikael have created a fair solution/remedy to the situation. All one has to do is communicate with them and they will go out of their way to remedy the situation. I really appreciate both of them. They are genuinely good people who care about doing the right thing. They stay calm, cool and collected and do their best to problem solve whatever situations may arise. Super grateful."
"I have rented three previous units at the McGrath PS. The last experience several years ago was so bad I swore never again. Recently I needed a storage unit and thought I would give them another try. Big mistake. I *reserved* the perfect size and location online and went the same day to inspect it and pay for it. Mark was nice, and helpful. I told him yes, I wanted it. But instead of going directly to the office to finish the order, he wanted to be helpful and sprayWD-40 on the rollup door for me. He then decided to show me another unit inside but I wanted the drive-up I reserved. After about 20 minutes we were finally in the office and he says the unit is gone. I say, what?! In the time he was helpfully wasting, someone had stolen my RESERVED unit out from under me paying for the unit that was supposed to be mine. PS have a lot of questionable business practices, but this was insane. I knew from experience never to pay for a unit without inspecting it. Mark called his boss and explained the situation and they SHOULD’VE rented me the unit I reserved and told the other person it was taken. Instead, they wasted MY time. I was THERE had it reserved and they refused. Shocking. PS has no integrity and they do not do the right thing. I was so shocked I left in tears. A week later, I found a unit online in the same location advertised as 9x10 drive-up. I not only reserved this one, I paid for it including the $29 "admin fee" so nobody could steal it in the meantime. Another mistake. When I went to inspect it I could tell it was not 9x10'. I measured it. It was only 7' something by almost 10'. About 10 square feet SMALLER than PS advertised and than what I paid for. I told Michael,, that it would not work and I wanted a refund including the $29 because it was false advertising and I would not have rented and paid for it had I known. They refunded the first month but refused to refund the $29. I requested to speak to the regional manager who could approve the refund and discuss falsely advertising the size of units. They use the excuse “it is an approximation.". 10 square foot smaller is not an approximation mistake. They know the exact measurements of specific units. Fast-forward again, I asked if they had a larger unit. The location was excellent and the first month was about $100 off the regular rate (yeah, until they jack it up the next month). I’m uploading images of what this Public Storage location thinks is acceptable. Every unit I was shown EXCEPT THE FIRST ONE that they refused to rent to me after I reserved it was disgusting. Dirty, smelly, 120 degrees or inside, chemical or oil stains on the floors, walls filthy, sharp dangerous screws protruding all along the wall, mud INSIDE in the corners, the bottom of roll-up door weather stripping MISSING so that rodents and other insects, water, dirt, dust etc can easily get INSIDE THE UNIT. The latch on the door was rusted and corroded. Easier to break off or into. Most of the rollup doors are old and rusty and dirty and very difficult to pull up. See photos. For the high rent they charge, the units should be in good condition and clean. The last time I rented a unit there, rats ruined my boxes and clothes and they had some kind of water sprinkler malfunction that I was never notified about and when I went to check my unit, my computer equipment was ruined with water and my furniture was wet and covered with mildew and mold. I got out as soon as I could and swore never again. That's just unacceptable. And they raised that unit rent about 60% in less than a year. That's what they do. Every couple of months now. One guy had his unit rent raised three times in 8 months. I found other storage with a 15% discount and the price is locked in for TWO years. No rent increases and it is less than the same size unit at PS. PS is greedy and bordering on a corrupt company imo. There are better options. And they do not give discounts for seniors, disabled, military or even employees. Too bad they've gone so downhill. Look elsewhere. Only positive:the employees were nice and helpful."
"Mark on evening 7/12/2024 is a phenomenal customer representative and an asset to enterprise. Spent much time addressing my need &determined best unit for my disability at this time. Tammy and Jay contacted me following morning, Tammy initiated rental, same unit rental by phone. All 3 individuals have extremely strong listening skills to their customer, personable, accommodating and a privilege for customer to work with."
