"The road from the west (fairfax-bolinas rd) is pretty sketchy. Not very safe for spirited driving. Still worth the drive though, especially when you go take the road to the east. It's very quiet out here. I bet at night the galaxy can be seen."

"Very interesting spot! We went out for a drive to Stinson Beach on a sleepy Sunday and pulled over at Alpine Dam to take in the unique energy of the area. Incredibly quiet (aside from a search and rescue squad and helicopter, which put a damper on the scenery a bit), somewhere I'd want to go to meditate and read for a while. We felt like we'd almost entered another world, despite its proximity to SF."
