"The beach is great, but very crowded on weekends. Parking is $15 on weekends, $10 during the week. We like to take our dogs here, most owners are pretty chill and know their dogs and their social skill levels. But always a few who don't, so be prepared for that. My little guy shaking off sand and water here after playing in the surf."
"Went on a low tide and walked left to the estuary and start of Tomales Bay. Nice soft sand and dogs can run free off leash. Had to pay $10 to park in July during the week. Restroom needed refreshing but there was TP and soap… It was very calm water at the shore when I visited and lots of families and kiddos enjoying the water."
"Lots of trash, cigarette butts, and off leash dog poop on the beach. Wouldn’t pay $10 for it again."
"Nice beach. As of review date, entry was free but I know during the summer they charge. Bathrooms were clean, running water and flushing toilets available, however they might not be accessible if you are disabled or have a hard time walking cause the path up is kinda steep. The beach was generally clean and I took a really good nap."
"As someone who loves escaping to the Northern California coast, I was eager to check out Dillon Beach. And while my recent visit had a few downsides, overall I came away looking forward to visiting this out-of-the-way beach town again. Upon arriving in town, the narrow, winding streets were congested and parking options proved extremely limited. Visiting the beach basically requires paying the $10 entry fee to access the beach parking, so keep that in mind. There is an undeniable charm to Dillon Beach that makes any hassles worthwhile. As I wandered the sandy shore, gazing out at the striking blue Pacific Ocean and watching intrepid surfers and and seabirds soaring overhead, it was easy to sink into a blissful, relaxed state. The setting alone here is jaw-droppingly gorgeous."
